We Used the Free Zoom app to Gather.
The Group Had a Great Time Together Sharing Old Photos, Memories and Stories.

To help support this project you can buy a personalized brick to be installed on the walkway up to the Splashpad. Cost of the bricks range from $100 - $500. School history: Provided by the RCF. First school in the village of Mohall from 1902-1904, was located about four blocks Northeast of the Catholic Church. In 1903, Baska & Sons moved the building to an area what is known now as Moberg Insurance and Haugan Apts. Later it was moved one block East, which is now the George Solar residence, 103 - 1st. Ave. SE. In 1904 the community school had grades 1 - 8. It was a four-room school with a heating stove in each classroom. The building was constructed for a cost of $4,000.00. In 1909 a supplement to the four-room building was built to house the 1-2 graders until 1912. In 1912 a brick school building was built with the student capacity of 350. Ed Stromswold was the contractor of the four-story building at the cost of $50,000. The brick building had separate rooms for high school, and four rooms for grades. The building was used until 1959 when it was torn down to make room for the new school addition. A new Health and Physical Education facility was added to the Mohall School and dedicated May 17, 1970. On Tues., June 27, 1987, a roast was held for Supt. Donald Kolbo, who had served the Mohall School for 37 years. At that time the new Health and Physical Education facility was named in his honor. The name idea was proposed to the Mohall School Board by Keith Purdy, who graduated from MHS in 1961, as class president and passed away at 63, April 12, 2006, in Richardson, TX.
Jerry Henricks Jan. 3, 1934 - June 14, 2019 Longtime MHS coach and teacher Jerry Henricks passed away Fri., June 14, 2019, at a Mohall nursing home. Jerry moved to Mohall in 1959 and retired from teaching in 1991 after 35 years in the teaching profession.
Wayne Hill, 82, Maple Grove, Minn., passed away at home Sun., June 8, 2014. Wayne was a longtime MHS coach, teacher and Mohall businessman.

Classmate Makes Las Vegas Magazine
Richard Becker now living in Sun City Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV, has been taking pictures for the local Link Magazine. The Link is published monthly and is delivered to some 12,000 homes in Sun City Summerlin. The Link June 2020 issue published an article on Richard. We, the Senior Class of 1963, of the city of Mohall, county of Renville, being of sound mind,
memory, and understanding, do make, publish, and declare the following to be the last will and testament of said class. We hereby bequeath to the juniors the privilege of being seniors. To the sophomores we leave the privilege of not having to follow the class of '63, but sincerely hope and pray that they will study diligently and some day reach that high goal of mutual, brotherly and sisterly love as does now exist among the present seniors. To the freshmen we leave our hope and sympathy.

His obit stated, "after a courageous battle with cancer.'' Ken R. Moberg, 63, born March 5, 1944, in Mohall, ND, died April 22, 2007, in Stilwell, KS, as a result of brain cancer. Danny Zimmerman, 50, born Apr. 23, 1945, in Emporia, Kansas, passed away Aug. 1, 1995, buried in Hamilton, Kansas. Sandra (Halvorson) Blazek, 62, born May 9, 1945, passed away Nov. 8, 2007. She was living in Waubun, MN, when she died. Julianna Van Hove, 66, Minot, born Aug. 26, 1943, Sherman Township, Bottineau County, ND, died Oct. 22, 2009, Minot, ND, hospital. Nan (Read) Becker, 65, born June 2, 1945, Minot, ND, died May 12, 2011, at home with family after battling cancer for nearly two years. James Burbidge, 66, born June 23, 1945, Minot, ND, died June 2, 2012, at a Minot hospital. Marvin Mau, 65, born Oct. 3, 1944, passed away August 13, 2009, he started with our class, but never graduated in 1963 with our class. Calman "Jake" Allen, 69, born Jan. 20, 1945, passed away August 11, 2014, he battled lung cancer for 2 1/2 years. Calman was born at home near Mohall, ND. Lived at Tuttle, ND, for many years. Sandra J. "Sandy" (Gilbrath) Kasprick, 72, Grafton, N.D., born Oct. 11, 1945, passed away July 16, 2018, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND. Carolyn (Brudvik) Ogroske, 74, of Mandan, North Dakota, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at the Glendive Extended Care in Glendive, Montana. Gloria (Wright) Foss, 75, Mohall, ND, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at a Minot hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1945. Cinda (Laumeyer) Allen, 75, passed away Tues., May 4, 2021, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mavis (Haarsager) Tysdale, 76, passed away March 25, 2022, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Brenda (Parker) Popelka, 77, passed away April 12, 2022. Doreen (Bahl) Erhart, 77, passed away Wed., Jan. 18, 2023, at her home in Redfield, SD. Gary Satran, 78, passed away Thurs., Feb. 23, 2023, in Las Vegas, NV.
