Roses Parade 1-1-2025Melody and I had the privilege of attending the Roses Parade 1-1-25 in Pasadena, Cal.. The bus trip was arranged by our Sun City Summerlin travel club. Tours of Distinction provided the bus, tour guide and bus driver. We stayed at the MainStay Suites. Our scheduled evening meal was at the Rusty Pelican in Newport Beach. What a great meal and fellowship. We arrived at the parade around 8 AM, Tuesday. Our bleacher seats were near our bus stop. So, not much walking. We sat in bleachers next to the sidewalk facing north as the parade passed in front of us. We noticed a lot of vendors providing everything you could think of. Before the parade the vendors rolled their goods up and down the parade route. The weather was perfect for a parade, no wind and temps. near 70. After the parade and our box lunch we bussed to “Victory Park” to view the floats lined up for our viewing. Walking around all the floats for photos and back to the bus was a challenge for us “older” folks. We arrived back in Vegas around 11 PM, Wed. What a great two full days off our bucket list.
