Melody and I flew to North Dakota Thurs., Aug. 8, 2024,
and flew back to Las Vegas, NV, on Mon., Aug. 26, 2024.
We again rented a car from Don Bessette Motors in Minot, ND. Again we rented a little house in our hometown Mohall, ND. From Mohall we traveled to meet family and friends.
I think we made contact with some 50 family and friends.
Enjoy our photos below. Most photos you can click each one to view.

I have a lot of memories here.

Below are some of the photos we took while at the Peace Gardens nestled in the Turtle Mountains. A celebration of peace, a living monument to the ideals of friendship and cooperation among nations. Acres of uninterrupted prairie, forests and radiant floral gardens are defined by nature, not borders. The Peace Gardens is located approximately 20 miles North of Dunseith, ND on the United States side, and approximately 28 kilometers South of Boissevian, MB, Canada. Some photos Richard is holding a red bag. The mazagine (Link) he works for taking photos gave out red bags to those traveling this summer to see who traveled the fartherest.

An important part of the trip was for Melody to visit her new great niece.
It's always a fun time to catch up with my old Minot Marco's Coffee group. This group totaled around 20 a few years ago. Some passed away, some have moved and a few are aging and don't get out much. Such good memories are shared around a cup of coffee.
The group gathers five days a week at the Mall.

I couldn't be in Minot without getting together with a few of my old Minot motorcycle buddies. This group used to number around 25. We used to have a number of summer club rides. Now not one of the group has a motorcycle. That's what the golden years will do.

The former Mohall Good Samaritan Nursing Home is now in the hands of the Mohall Community and called the Mohall Plaza. It's being remodeled for a Pizza place (photos below) and other offices and later some motel rooms. The Mohall Library is now moved.
Photos below show how it looked as it moved and a week later books all in place.

I grew up attending the Nazarene Church in Mohall until around 1963. It's nearly 105 years old now. My parents were pliers in this church. The small memership now decided to sell to a church in Minot called The Pursit Church. Melody and I and other family members attended the last Nazarene Church service on Sun., Aug. 25, 2025 at 10 AM. A nice dinner was served after the service. A lot of history and memories I have of growing up in this little church. The photo below on the left is the current church and the one on the right is the one I grew up going to. The church photos below I took on the Sun. of the last service.
On Sun., Aug. 11, 2024, we attended a church service at this little All Fairth Chapel Church at the Mouse River Park with my cousin and his wife. Melody one night attended a Bible Study here with family and friends and later gathered for a bonfire.
During the weeks we gathered with family and friends over meals, bonfires,
out harvesting and just standing around. The brown brick house is one I raised my family in living in it for 35 years. The little blue one Melody and I rented this year with our red rental car. The flowers on main street in Mohall were beautiful. Lunch one day with two of our classmates. Another afternoon we ran into another classmate at the Park. Also are some pictures at my family's cabin at Lake Metigoshe as I sat in the swing with my brother, nephew and 2nd cousin. Melody is with my sister in law and brother around the camp fire.

The Mohall Park Board has a fundraiser going on raising money for park improvements. This year the board sold bricks. The brick wall was just installed before we arrived in Mohall. The signature brick wall really looks nice on the West wall by the city pool.

It's always nice to visit the Mohall Cemetery and view the graves.
